Meshkin

Also known as Meshkin Shahr is situated in Eastern Azarbaijan province. The Rugs woven here are mostly runners or small carpets. The carpets usually have central repeating medallions of geometrical shapes with simple and primitive designs but with intricate floral or animal borders. The knots are usually Turkish and the KPSC is low. The colors are usually dominated by red with a little beige and blue in them.
